About the Role

As our Lead WebGL / Canvas Developer, you will bridge the gap between creative visual art and high-performance browser rendering. You will direct the engineering of visual effects, particles, and responsive reel animations optimized for mobile web across low-spec and high-end smartphones alike.

Day-to-Day Execution

What You'll Architect & Build

Build fluid, responsive 60 FPS slot, crash, and live multiplayer game visual clients in PixiJS and WebGL.
Implement complex Spine 2D skeletal animations, particle shaders, and dynamic canvas rendering.
Optimize bundle sizes, asset streaming, and memory consumption for sub-2s mobile loading.
Integrate WebSocket state engines with instant audio synthesis (Howler.js / Web Audio API).
Review code, define architectural blueprints, and lead a squad of 4 frontend game engineers.

Qualifications

What We Look For

5+ years building production browser-based interactive canvas/WebGL games with PixiJS, Three.js, or Phaser.
Mastery of modern TypeScript, modern bundlers (Vite/Webpack), and Web Audio APIs.
Experience working with Spine 2D animations, texture atlases, and GLSL fragment/vertex shaders.
Proven track record of optimizing mobile browser games for low memory constraints (iOS Safari & Android Chrome).
Eye for pixel-perfect motion design, easing curves, and haptic game feel.
